Imagine you are paid lots of money from the US Government, and with “good intentions” were doing research to prevent the US from getting addicted to ice cream. You have a lab that creates different flavors of ice cream to see which one is eaten the most. You run simulations with all the dairy farmers, marketing companies, logistics companies, and Breyers, Haagen Daas, Ben & Jerrys, and have to first model how the addiction is going to happen, then model how you will handle it.
Once you know what the answer is, why would they take this information and sit on it?
The only people who would consistently do the right thing is idealogues right out of college who haven’t built anything
The next logical thing, from human nature, is…someone in that group is going to say “we can sell a LOT OF ICE CREAM” if we just did this! While, Haagen Daas, being German, might say “that doesn’t sound like a good, moral thing to do” the others are willing to do it.
You are Haagen Daas, you can either abstain, go along with it, or blow the whistle and hope anyone cares.
But the media and marketing are in on the plan, they get a cut. Who is going to echo your whistle blow if you do?
So, there are 2 solutions to solve the ice cream addiction:
Stop the people from leaving their house to buy ice cream, and put FULL LABELS of scull and crossbones like cigarettes on the ice cream cartons
Or you can educate people and let them use their freedom and judgement to decide what’s best.
So you and the other collaborators in the study decide to LOCK IT DOWN, because that is what the rest of the world is doing, and you don’t want to be a leader and make your own decisions, so you go along.
Now you realize you can say and do anything, as long as the media echoes it, the people will follow. You think you won’t notice that opportunity again when it arises?

So when the government and Bill Gates and elite schools run simulations about an outbreak: Operation Lockstep, Event 201, Crimson Contagion, Dark Winter, etc etc.
The are also creating bioweapons in labs “for outbreak prevention” of course.
