20210316 Disciple and Apostle - The Daily Summation

I don't guess I'm trying to make the argument that we should ever entirely cease to be disciples. That said, I think too many people in the present day are not "stepping up."

Put simply, if you're a Christian, you may be called to be an apostle, a teacher, an elder, an evangelist or a number of other things.

After more than thirty years as a Christian, I think it reasonable for folks to expect me to be "eating meat, not drinking milk" as my "primary sustenance."

This is not just true for Christians either.

When you've spent a large amount of time in some pursuit (like being a software developer, for example), you probably ought to be mentoring others EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT REQUESTED. You should obviously NOT generally do so when it's not considered welcome.

In the latest edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics, I discuss this in a little detail. Hope you enjoy.

When I complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
