U.S. Army 1st Lt. Abigail Santora, a Penn Yan, New York, native and active-duty medical surgical nurse from Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas, speaks on her experience working at the Fair Park Community Vaccination Center (CVC) in Dallas, on March 9, 2021. Military nurses assigned to U.S. Army Medical Command support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) by preparing vaccines for administration at the CVC. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to FEMA as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
