U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Sharice Jones, a Montgomery, Maryland, native and active-duty medical surgical nurse from Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, speaks on her experience as a military nurse and working at the Fair Park Community Vaccination Center (CVC) in Dallas, on March 10, 2021. Military nurses assigned to U.S. Army Medical Command support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) by preparing vaccines for administration at the CVC. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to FEMA as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
