ACCIDENT HOSPITALIZES 3, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 03/15/21...

Accident Hospitalizes 3, LIVINGSTON, March 15, 2021 - At approximately 11:25 am on March 15, 2021, a white 2016 Dodge Durango, driven by Amanda Sue Diets, 36, of Diboll, was north-bound on North Washington (Business 59). As Diets was about to pass through the intersection of North Washington and North Houston (146), a black 2007 Saturn Aurora, driven by Alicia Shambre Kwinyana, 23, of Crocket was pulled into her path. The vehicles collided. Diets' vehicle came to rest in the intersection, while Kwinyana's vehicle came to rest at the edge of the pavement. Trooper Chris Cain with the Texas Highway Patrol was the first officer on the scene and summoned Livingston Police Department. Officer Scott Paske with Livingston PD was dispatched to the scene and was joined by other officers with LPD. Additionally, Sheriff Byron Lyons showed up to assist. According to witnesses, Kwinyana had a red light and was supposed to stop. Kwinyana will be cited for the accident. Diets' child passenger, Kwinyana, and Kwinyana's passenger were all three transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Both vehicles were recovered by Dan's Towing and will be stored in Livingston (Dan's was assisted by Ken's Towing).
