How to make math easier

What traditionally happens when teaching math? A few problems are done to teach a “math lesson” and then we send the students off to “do the rest on their own”. Next, we grade the papers with big red marks, and then what? Do we do more instruction for those missed? Typically not, we just send the paper back with the students and tell them to make corrections. No wonder so many children HATE math. The myth: If we help the student or do some of the student’s problems for them, it makes us somehow guilty of cheating. That myth is debunked in this Brain Coach Tip.
