Now more than ever we need actual unity in this country.

It disturbs me to my core to see what is going on in the US today. Lots of my countrymen are hurting, scared, and angry. I feel for them all. I want people to be heard but I also want people to be safe. I want our history to remain in tact, good or bad because it is our history and I am proud of how far we have come so far. I do believe in good change and I applaud people who are courageous enough to go out and stand up for what they believe in. That is the American way after all. However, I feel a lot of people in this country have been stifled by the louder opposition. Some people who have tried to stand up for what they believe in have been shamed or even bullied to stop or even reverse course on their beliefs. That is disgusting. One of those beliefs is that people want to stand to honor the USA, its flag, and its anthem. While some take a knee, they have that right, we have a right to stand and honor without being deemed a racist.

So instead of watching the NBA or MLB games, I have taken the time to show why I stand and honor America. I start off with the pledge of allegiance that has been all but forgotten on today's youth. Then, I display beautiful American scenery while the soft melody of America the Beautiful plays. After that I transition to the people from long ago right up until the present time. Some are just citizens, some are volunteers, and some are war heroes. All of them are great Americans!

Our country stands for Freedom and Liberty, it always has. I stand to show respect to every man and women, who wears a uniform or not, that commits to the greatness of our country and what it represents. I may have never worn a uniform but I believe in the constitution and I believe that everyone should be free from tyranny and that our founding documents enshrine this belief. I may have never worn a uniform but I will stand and defend this belief to my death if I have to. So I stand in respect for all the Americans that have come before me and for those that will stand next to me today. MAY GOD BLESS THE USA!
