The quintessential pessimist’s meaning of life is void of the word meaning. There is no purpose or reason for life… there is no rational side to living or thinking. There is no religion or ethics system. There is only science and the strict doctrines that are constantly changing since science isn’t anything other than a temporary opinion-based answer to life’s complex questions. Pessimists are in denial of the mysterious ways of life and the harmonious ways of humanity. The pessimist’s struggle is futile in its attempts to deal with despair and misery. Instead of accepting the fact that there are other realms and dimensions besides our ego based present tense form; they will substitute the healing process of temporary grief with an empirical answer to ease their ruminations…. Those who follow the dogmatic ways of science and nihilism like Arthur Schopenhauer; find instant comfort in the thought that life is so absent of meaning that the nonexistence of the world is preferable to its existence. Schopenhauer is obviously trapped in a deterministic philosophy of his self-proclamation of zero responsibility because there is no such thing as a choice in his world that revolves around him. Freewill to the pessimist is too much responsibility, too much of an ethical burden to bear and absolutely too vague of a topic to consider worthy of further elaboration… The benefits of pessimism do more harm to the mind than good in the long run… The tangible satiations that make life worth living for a pessimist have its sole benefit in being prepared for the worst-case scenario; because the worst-case scenario for a nihilist is life itself. Pessimists will say that “there is nothing new under the sun” This is basically an excuse for having no imagination or fervor to explore the possibilities of the seemingly impossible. The possibilities of what you can accomplish in your lifetime is the meaning of life. Life is a test to see what you are willing to sacrifice to bring your imagination to reality. It’s easy to rebel against what is morally right and feed the jaded and cynical side of yourself that has been emotionally scarred; or you may choose a difficult life of suffering and commitment to stifle your instinctual desires. It’s best to compromise with a centered equilibrium, a balanced life of free-willing optimistic responsibility that you owe to your DNA for sustaining humanity. Look outside of yourself and try to grasp the larger picture. The meaning of life is not as simple as you would like it to be but at least it drives us to achive better outcomes…
Language dictates meaning; so technically, the meaning of life could betray you if you don’t believe that you are worth your weight in words…The pursuit of happiness is really the pursuit of chemical endorphins and higher sensation. We are always chasing the dragon after that first elation of joy we experience as children. The meaning of life is exactly what you would expect it to be for your instinctual side; but very complex when we over think it. When we over analyze something, we are searching for something that is hidden deep down in the unconsciousness of our psyche. We spend time and money and unfortunately sacrifice our own precious lives in search of these so called meanings; which are in actuality not meanings, but better explained in an answer to the question, “What is reality?”.
