The fact is shedding is a natural process for dogs and cats. Animals rid themselves of old or otherwise damaged hair by shedding it. The amount of fur that is shed depends on the breed, the time of year, and whether there is a single or double layer of fur. Although sometimes it's frustrating for pet parents, shedding is still part of animals' natural life.
