Space Station Rat Review

Space Station Rat is a short book (written by Michael J. Daley). I’ve only listened to the audio (read by Daniel Bostick) version. This book is primarily for children, but people of all ages could enjoy it. The author clearly did some research for this book and it shows. Also, the fact that the rat is a very intelligent for espionage I think broadens the appeal a bit more than just for children. Daniel Bostick really makes the characters and narration come alive and if I saw another book, he read I’d likely get just for his performance.
Space Station Rat is about a rat who ends up on a space station by accident by escaping a lab that was experimenting on her. On the space station she seeks food and wonders how she will ever return the earth. The secondary character is Jeff who is a boy who would rather be on earth rather than the space station, his parents are scientists studying sunspots.
I originally recorded this video months ago, but I only now edited it together and uploaded it. Part of the reason was I was considering rerecording because I was so tired when I initially recorded it. In the end I felt that all the content was here, and though I was tired my delivery was good enough in other ways.
