Hi, I have a question regarding the time being used two thousand years ago. Does this mean that this clock was used in the time when The Lord Jesus was teaching because the clock we use at present has no sense in the Gospel scriptures. There are many references in the Gospel about the time and specific hours like sixth, third and 12th hour.
In ancient time an "hour" fluctuated depending on the time of the year. There are 12 hours in day for summer and winter.
We now have an hour of 60 minutes but then it would be longer insummer and shorter in winter.
Lets say the sun goes down at 8:00 pm in summer where you are and 5:00 pm in winter. Back then it would still be 12 hours either way but we have 14 hours of daylight in summer 10 hours in winter. Make sense?

It is written regarding the time of the Kingdom of Heaven. Please read chapter 20 in Matthew book.
The Lord mentioned these hours/time:
*went out early in the morning
*third hour
*sixth
*and the ninth hour
*and about the eleventh hour.
I wrote to you in the first message that it does not make any sense in our present clock which according to, it will be as follows:
* went out early in the morning
* 9am
* 12pm
* and 3 pm (ninth hour)
* and about 6pm (eleventh hour).
To summarize what I tried to explain is that the sun-dial table you made it it will be readable in parable in Matthew 20 and also it would make sense according with time in other parts of the Gospel, for example; when The Lord was crucified.

3rd = 9am, 6th is noon
Just keep in mind the duration of our 60 minute hour would only agree with the biblical hour twice a year on the vernal and autumnal equinoxes. In the summer it's a longer day of 14 hours and 10 in winter but they still say 12 hours for each.

Yes. You could do that and technically the nighttime is in 4 Watches instead of hours. For example in the parable of the labourers Mat 20, there's the 3rd, 6th, 9th and 11th hours. Then in Mrk 13 there's 4 night watches.
