Electromagnet Propelled Boat with 80 Degrees Between Magnets

At a wider angle apart the full cycle from east to west and back again took over a minute and 10 seconds but with an 80 degree angle the cycle only takes about 50 seconds.

Also the weight is distributed more to the south end of the boat away from the electromagnets.

I am thinking in terms of a magnet with one pole free to move and the other pole not free to move. The free to move end of the magnet will move from pointing say to Earth's south pole to Earth's north magnetic pole so it will travel 180 degrees or the diameter of the circle it forms.

Next instead of one pole of the magnet being complete not free to move imagine it has the resistance of the momentum of a mass- so the same thing happens only perhaps to some amount of a lesser extent.

So I am kicking around some ideas. Suppose I could put the heavier mass away from the north pole of the magnet and turn that so the magnet points south. The magnet's north end will move around north and draw the mass with it somewhat. The electromagnet can be turned off while it is turning back towards the south then turned on and do its work. Wash -Rinse- Repeat!

Stay tuned:)
