Lawmakers In Washington Are Responding To President Joe Biden's Speech That He Gave Thursday Night - One Year After The U.S. Launched The 'Two Weeks To Slow The Spread' Campaign.

In Biden's First Prime-Time Address Since He Took Office In January The President Announced That He Was Ramping Up Vaccine Efforts That Include Lifting Eligibility Qualifications, Deploying 4,000 Active-Duty Troops To Help With Vaccines And Allowing More People — Like Medical Students, Veterinarians And Dentists — To Deliver Shots.

The President Said That His Goal Is That All American's Will Have Access To The Vaccine By May 1st And If Everyone Gets Vaccinated He May Allow The American People To Have Small Get Together's For The 4Th Of July.

Now Lawmakers Are Taking Aim At The Timeline The President Laid Out In His Speech Saying It Just Doesn't Make Sense.

Senator John Cornyn Out Of Texas Tweeted,

"If Every Willing Person In America Is Vaccinated For Covid-19 By May, As Potus Has Said, Why Put Our Lives On Hold Till July The 4Th?"

Congressman Thomas Massie Out Of Kentucky Added

"If You’re Waiting For Permission From The Chief Executive To Celebrate Independence Day With Your Family, You Clearly Don’t Grasp The Concept Of Independence."
