Ep137: How Billionaires become Bond Villains: The Bill Gates Story

So people who pride themselves in “rational thinking” like to dismiss theories about powerful peoples motives being detrimental to humanity.
I hear Scott Adams trying to reprogram people from the negative viewpoints of Bill Gates as an example.
Adams will say things like “money is not the motivator for someone as rich as Bill Gates.”
Adams will say things like “people that smart like Gates with an assumed 180 IQ are almost like a different species to a regular smart person of say 130 IQ”
My questions for Scott Adams are:
How long can you witness what seems like a script playing out but still excuse it as bureaucratic ineptitude?
How do you see crony capitalism for say insider trading. Or dem cities and states being bailed out by the relief bill and say there wasn’t a shake and a nod.
How can you understand marketing, persuasion. Big data and big tech. And say that if you were the smartest people on the planet, Bill gates, Zuckerberg, Bezos…
that you wouldn't try to use that intellect to enact your will?
That’s what being an entrepreneur is, enacting your will to the extent possible to perpetuate your success.

So here is our story: How a rational person can see Bill Gates as a Marvel Villainwhile he tries to save humanity. [, Bond villains are too short sighted,]

Now imagine you’re a young Bill Gates, you have been raised by parents heavily involved with the founding of Planned Parenthood. They help you land big deals with IBM but you exceed expectations, you deserve to be there.
20 years later, everything you’ve done has been successful. At what point do you become arrogant about your insight and assume you know better than everyone else?
Now you have the resources and infrastructure that rivals 70% of the countries on the planet.
Now, it’s not just your company, or your country, its GLOBAL. You decide, curing all disease and poverty is the best thing you can do for humanity.
How do you save the planet from climate change? There’s a formula (show pic)
How do you save the planet from global warming? Blot out the sun (show article)
How do you save the planet from disease? Vaccinate the planet, but it takes science and time and test subjects. Where do you get those test subjects? Where nobody in the “civilized world” cares to look. Africa, India etc.
Does that make YOU a global conspiracy? No that is individual motive. Right?
But that it can affect an entire planet. It changes things a bit.
But it’s not working fast enough and the problem is big enough, you need to bring in some help. Who is smart enough and capable enough to help tackle such a monumental problem?
Call in the other billionaires of all industries. Meet at a place called the Bilderberg Hotel, and Davos (world economic forum)
Is that just a "committee"? Is that the bureaucratic committee nightmare of our Congress?
Or is this a group of people who think they know better than you do, whats good for you.
I guess it is like congress, but with more power and influence:)
Does this become a global conspiracy?
From the DAVOS website: “The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters is the foremost creative force for engaging the world's top leaders in collaborative activities to shape the global, regional and industry agendas at the beginning of each year.”
That “Literally” defines a global conspiracy. Of people who are smarter than you and know it. They plan to save you from yourself.

When does “science” supersede humanity? China organ harvesting, genetic experiments to make super soldiers. The USA does similar unfortunately. Gates vaccinating the planet.
Do you think Josef Mengele had evil intentions? Or did science discovery perpetuate his evil deeds?
Again, when does “science” supe supersede humanity?

So when someone as smart as Scott Adams says things like:
Adams will say things like “money is not the motivator for someone as rich as Bill Gates.” While I do agree with this overall point, he is not behind the vaccines for money. He didn’t get to be the richest man on the planet without money motivating him and being good with money.
Adams will say things like “people that smart like Gates with an assumed 180 IQ are almost like a different species to a regular smart person of say 130 IQ” and while this is probably true, Adams frames it in a way that makes Gates decisions that much more important. Again probably true. So when does that intellect gain enough arrogance that you internalize your decisions are more important than everyone elses, I know better and therefore their opinions don’t matter because I know what’s best for them…

So many villains have “humanities best interest at heart”
Thanos – problem: overpopulation – Solution: kill half of all species – Galactic Reset
Just because you are trying to do the GREATEST GOOD, if you are that smart and accomplished, your probably so arrogant and detached from the humanity you are trying to save, that you miss the mark and become the villain.
