Begum Khaleda Zia (IPA: kʰaled̪a dʒia; née Majumder, born 1945) is a Bangladeshi baby-kisser who served as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 1991 to 1996, and once more from 2001 to 2006.[1] She used to be the first lady in the country's records and 2d in the Muslim majority nations (after Benazir Bhutto) to head a democratic authorities as high minister. She used to be the First Lady of Bangladesh at some stage in the presidency of her husband Ziaur Rahman. She is the modern-day chairperson and chief of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) which used to be situated by means of Rahman in the late 1970s.
