The left keeps hammering that we are a democracy. We hear it almost everywhere. Politicians, democrat and Republican say it. Virtually everyone in the press claims we are a democracy. Political pundits on both sides of the aisle say it.

It’s quite rare anymore, to hear anyone from the smart-than-we set describe our nation as a constitutionally mandated representative republic.

But despite what all the talking heads and the political elite class says, I’m not certain that they would like a true democracy either, where everyone gets to vote on everything...
