So lets now talk about the trip!

My buddy Jeff and I were a little bored of fishing the same old thing. It seems like all we have been able to fish are the Animas and the San Juan river. I mean, through winter, thats about all we have here. However, spring is here, and we figured we would explore.

Now we knew its still a bit early for fish to be coming up to the small creeks, I mean just 2 weeks earlier there was ice on the banks. However, we wanted to try it, and do some exploring!

It was a long hike to the public access of the creek though. In fact, it was 3.5 miles there, and 3.5 miles back. We also walked about 1.5 past the public access. So I think in total we went a whopping 5 miles each way, thats a total of 10 miles in one day. Not crazy far, but I have to admit I was tired. It felt good though to get out and exercise though.
