Record Setting Number Of Migrant Children Being Detained, Separated From Families
The Number Of Migrant Children Being Housed At Detention Centers At The Southern Border Has Broken The Record Set In The Height Of The 2019 Crisis.
According To The Department Of Health And Human Services, More Than 7,700 Unaccompanied Minors Were Placed In Their Facilities Last Month. That Number Is Up 3,000 Children From January And Breaks The Record Of Nearly 6,000 Unaccompanied Minors That Were Housed In Facilities In February Of Last Year.
According To Sources At The Border The Biden Administration Is Separating Children From Their Close Family Members And Has Also Opened Up A Number Of Temporary Facilities - Otherwise Known As Tent Cities - To Help With The Massive Influx Of Migrants.
