Soaking rain showers will roll through today with highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s. A rumble of thunder is possible & some minor flooding is possible near area streams and rivers. A quarter to half inch of rain is likely with locally higher amounts. Ice jams will also be a concern as well. Winds will be breezy out of the southwest around 15-20 mph. A few showers are possible tonight with overnight lows cooling off to near 40 with breezy southwest winds. Skies will be Thursday turning mostly sunny by the early afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 40s to the lower 50s. It will be windy with west winds around 15-25 mph with some gusts possibly above 30 mph. Temperatures are going to cool back down into the lower to mid 40s for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with mostly sunny skies. There may be some rain or a wintry mix Monday and Tuesday with temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Long range temperature forecasts are keeping highs general slightly above average through the end of March with some occasional days in the 30s. Most days should be in the 40s to near 50 but no major warm spells like the one we are experiencing at the moment are currently anticipated. The average high temperature by the end of the month is 46.
