Thailand ประเทศไท, Chiang Mai เทศบาลนคร เชียงใหม่ - cycling Doi Pui roads - 2015-03

I cycled up, via Doi Suthep, to the campground near the top of Doi Pui (Doi Pui Camping Area ลานกางเต็นท์ดอยปุย, 1500m ASL). The climb is about 1200m from Chiang Mai City which is at 300m ASL. Theres a trail to the 1685m peak (785m prominence). This video is of sealed and later dirt roads from the campground, northeast down to Huay Tueng Thao Reservoir อ่างเก็บน้ำห้วยตึงเฒ่า. The roads are usually not marked or signed, but the most worn path is the way to follow. Why would most people not go to Chiang Mai? exactly. Also a bit of luck was helpful, because these roads were not on the maps.
