Many say that being a military spouse is one of the hardest jobs in the military. They are the ones left behind to handle house and home during deployments and temporary duty assignments. They are the ones who must find new jobs every time the permanently change duty stations and have to find new support systems with every move. They are also the ones who become full-time Caregivers when something happens to their military spouse, adding a new role and title to their already busy lives. Sarah Gage, Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Program Caregiver, knows this lifestyle all to well. She became her husbands Caregiver just two years after being together. At the same time, she found out she was pregnant with a miracle baby who would need just as much, if not more, attention than her Warrior husband.
