What's yours?

I grew up in what I thought was a normal life, until my parents got divorced when I was 11 years old.

My Mom & her alcoholic abusive boyfriend moved us to Montana in the middle of my 8th grade year & rented a house with 3 bedrooms. One for them, one for my half brother who was just born, & one for my sister. I had to live in the garage where I literally had a plastic sheet at the foot of my bed that separated my "bedroom" and the truck. Winters in Montana get pretty cold.

When I was 13, I had to fight him off my Mom with a cast iron pan, lots of blood.

I pretty much raised myself after that. I became addicted to drugs & jailed at 18 for drug paraphernalia. At 21, I was $28k in debt & filed bankrupt. I lived a rock star life in the music business for 2 years.

In 2004, I gave my life to Christ and my life changed forever.

I am now married to my beautiful wife of 16 years, have 2 awesome kids, 16 years sober, & debt free. FUN FACT: My wife & I were both born at 1:41pm.

I also host two top rated podcasts ( @TopRatedMMA Show & @TheErikAllenShow ), I am the winner of the @EdMylett Maxout Challenge, & now get to help others realize that "Life Happens For Us, Not To Us".
