Alum Cave Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is arguably the most popular trail in the park and the shortest way to reach the summit of Mt LeConte. At 2.3 miles you reach the “cave” and views that can’t be properly described in words.
This hike also put us over 100 miles hiking in the park. I couldn’t be more proud of my kids and we’re all looking forward to 250!
