Quick and Easy Nesting Boxes

Another set of chickens is starting to lay and we need more boxes. 5 gallon buckets work in a pinch. I used a scrap 2x6 and cut down about 2". Keep your scrap blocks as this will hold in the straw and keep eggs from falling out. Screw it all together and you're good. I place my boxes a little lower than the tallest roosting poll in order to prevent chickens from sleeping there.
