The Trial of Derek Chauvin for the Murder of St. Floyd Begins Tomorrow with Jury Selection

The most significant and politically charged trial of the last 25 years is getting underway tomorrow, March 8th. Jury selection in the trial of Derek Chauvin on the counts of Second Degree Murder and Manslaughter against George Floyd starts tomorrow. It will be very difficult to get a jury pool that is impartial, hence why it would and will be interested to watch and note the process. What we know going into the case is that certain evidence has been included and excluded along with previous encounters Floyd has had with officers.

Floyd has a criminal history to be sure. The circumstances surrounding his death are questionable. This trial and its outcome could make the LA riots of the mid 90's blush.
