Part 3 – The Second Letter of Peter
Peter’s second letter begins with a discussion on the Generosity of God. He speaks about those who lack diligence, temperance and patience are blind. They do not see what is coming forgetting they were purged of their old sin.

He then becomes the Apostolic Witness assuring us that Jesus Christ was not a fable but that he witnessed his majesty and heard when God spoke from the mountain that He was well pleased with his Son. He discusses the value of prophecy and equates it to a light that shines for us in the dark. He remarks that we must learn from the past. Reminding us that God will strike down the wicked even his own Angels. He speaks of the Day of the Lord and reminds us of the false teachers among us. He concludes by calling us all to holiness. To remain steadfast and wait patiently for the Lord.

I must say that reviewing this series the Seven Letters to Christians really is opening my eyes. When I notice the suggested correlation to what is happening in our lives today it is really amazing. Clearly there is a plan and instructions for us in that plan. Of course as with everything pray for discernment.
