Aggressive Livestock Guardian Pup - Video 2 of 3

See the first video of this 3 part series for more back ground on the dog and it's behavioral issues towards the livestock.

In the first video I mentioned that I got a shock collar to persuade her to not be aggressive towards the animals.

I spent a lot of time correcting her of bad behavior towards the sheep. I would give her a verbal warning and if she did not head it then she would get a zap which would immediately correct whatever negative thing she was doing. In the next phase of her training I would put her with the animals unattended or so she thought I would hide on the roof of the barn and as soon as she acted up toward them then she'd get the zap. It did not require very many corrections for her finally behave properly toward the livestock.

It would have been a much simpler task to have an already trained lives tock guardian dog to do the correcting but I had to start someplace.

These are some thing to keep in mind if you are thinking about getting a LGD for your livestock.
