This is a red-letter day! Feb 13th 2021, the long awaiting completion of one of my digital art projects, Spectre Comics, Issue 6 has finally arrived. And I’m talking about the inking portion of the full comic. I finished inking around noon on this day. I printed out the final page and did a full read of the complete issue and I think it is one of my best. It is important to feel like you are improving. When I go back and read my first couple of issues, I can definitely see that not only have I improved my drawing and art work. (Especially since I’ve gone digital) But I feel that my writing and storytelling has improved too.

So Spectre issue 6 is done and we are in the final stretches of the comic, leading up to getting it printed. There are a few more steps before we get to that. I will be making videos of each of these next steps, but the heavy lifting and most time-consuming portion of the work is done, and that was the digital inking and finalizing of each page. The next steps before going to print include:

-proofreading
-editing
-correcting poor art
-looking for inconsistencies
-creating a cover
-formatting for printer
-assembling the PDFs
……then going to print!

So, with this list, there are a few videos I want to make about these topics. So subscribe and stay tuned.
