Self Care for Mamas - Rochelle Nelson, Part 1

“If Mama ain't happy, ain’t nobody happy!” Ever heard these words? We live in a world that promotes “me time” and She Sheds but, while those things can often lead to complete self-centeredness, we do need to make taking care of ourselves a priority. Perhaps the saying should go “If Mama ain’t well cared for, ain’t nobody well cared for!” However, mama self-care doesn’t necessarily mean weekly manicures and coffee dates with our girlfriends. It starts with spiritual self-care - growing in our relationship with the Lord - to e nsure that we are prepared for the stresses of life. Following spiritual self-care is learning how to care for our physical bodies so that we have the strength and health to care for those whom the Lord has entrusted to us on a daily basis. Join Yvette Hampton as she talks with homeschool mom, Rochelle Nelson, about the importance of Mama Self-Care.
