U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 3d Marine Regiment conduct Exercise Bougainville I on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Marine Corps Training Area Bellows, and Kahuku Training Area, Feb. 6-24, 2021. Bougainville I begins the battalion’s pre-deployment work-up and is designed to train and evaluate team leaders in small unit proficiency and increase combat readiness.
