Deep Bible Podcast Ep19: God Brings Low the Proud and Blesses the Humble

We open in Matthew 19 with the famous quote, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven." What does this mean? We then see in Genesis 19 an incredibly horrific series of sexual sins and meditate on why God even put this in the Bible. In Joshua we're given a beautiful example of God's design for earthly government and justice. In Job we see an incredible prophesy of a living redeemer. In Isaiah we see a prophesy of Egypt, Assyria, and Israel worshipping the LORD together. And then we're given both milk and solid food in 1 Corithians 3. This episode is so loaded with meaning and fruit. Let us all count the cost and follow Jesus - wherever that may lead.
