Today we’re speaking with Rosalinda (Rosy) Vasquez Maury who is the Director of Applied Research and Analytics at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University (IVMF) and Postdoctoral Researcher, Mirza Tihic. Rosy and Mirza go into detail about what amazing things Syracuse University is doing for both Veterans and Military families. The IVMF is the first interdisciplinary national institute in higher education focused on the social, economic, education and policy issues impacting veterans and their families post-service. Within 6 months of program completion, 66% of Veterans start a business. As of today, 91% of those are still in business. These programs are part of why Syracuse University was named the #1 Private University for Veterans by Military Times.
