#272 // FAITH OF A CHILD
MATTHEW 18:3-4
“I assure you & most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self, live changed lives] & become like children [trusting, humble, & forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
Fear is the opposite of Faith. Our first task is to surrender our fear, then Faith can take hold. How then might we surrender our fear? Humble repentance of our own sins. Starting small and working ever larger.
How are we to respond to the boobytraps, pitfalls, trickery and theft that the enemy has placed before ourselves - and especially before our children? As a parent - our knee-jerk reaction is to lash out in violence and revenge - but, this is precisely the wrong answer. When we hand these tearful concerns over to God - we are freed from the bondage our venge-filled rage would impart - and we become available to our loved ones - with generosity and gladness of heart.
The enemy will get what’s coming to him - and all those who knowingly serve darkness - who persist in their wickedness, despite knowing what is coming - these are reserved for the halls of utter darkness and damnation. We must pray for these to awaken before it is too late! Eternity is a very long time.
