Five minutes or less with scripture! join in as we unpack "I am the Vine."

1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing.

John 15:1-8 MEV
1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that bears no fruit, He takes away. And every branch that bears fruit, He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already clean through the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Remain in Me, as I also remain in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, neither can you, unless you remain in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing.
6 If a man does not remain in Me, he is thrown out as a branch and withers. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done for you.
8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

What we have in these verses:
1. Vinedresser - God the Father (Keeps the Vine healthy by deadheading).
2. The Vine - Jesus (Carries all the nourishment to the branches).
3. Branches - Believers (blossom and produce fruit)
4. This is for this world, not the next.
