All these sites and online pharmacies
they sell masks
treated with antibacterial
(Zinc Pyrithione) Made in Italy (?).
This does not mean with
Italian material.

There are no percentage indications
zinc pyrithione contained in the masks,
warnings for possible effects
collateral for civil use only
(I am NOT a medical device).

Pyrithione zinc is used
in the treatment of dandruff and
seborrheic dermatitis. Other applications
include the treatment of psoriasis,
eczema, ringworm, athlete's foot,
impetigo and skin infections
staphylococcus.
It is also used in paints and others
products that provide protection against
mold and algae. There are no studies that
which say it can also be used in
tiny doses in front of the respiratory tract.
You have to be very careful about that
who want to impose us, especially the use
prolonged of these masks to children.

The SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE FOR THE
CONSUMER SECURITY
of Naples recommends:
"Zinc pyrithione doesn't have to be
used in oral hygiene products
Zinc pyrithione is currently
regulated as a preservative in
rinse products
(excluding oral hygiene products)
in a concentration up to
0.5% in general, and up
1.0% in hair products. "

I have done various researches, and not
I found where it is made
the fabric in Italy.

The most probable source is the
Sonovia (Israel), who uses
metal oxide nanoparticles
low cost, including
zinc oxide e
copper oxide, to confer
antibacterial protection.
Research conducted through
a Union grant
European, in collaboration
with 16 partners of 10
European countries, found effective
the process in one phase.
Ultrasonic irradiation
causes the formation of
oxide nanoparticles
antimicrobial metal
and actively impregnates them
in textile fibers.

The only Italian certified company
(Oeko-Tex®), is CENTROCOT
Centro Tessile Cotoniero e
Clothing S.p.A.
the rest are in various European countries.
