Chevron Friendship Bracelet DIY Tutorial - Easy Bracelet for Teens and Adults

The chevron pattern is a very old and popular friendship bracelet pattern. It requires knowing how to make two different knots, but I will show you both of them in a way that will hopefully be very easy to remember. For this bracelet, I will be using embroidery floss colors that make an ombre look, but you can use any colors that you want. If you want some of the stripes to be thicker, just add a second string of that color so that you are making two stripes of that color together.

The needed materials are embroidery floss (the same kind used for cross-stitching), scissors, a ruler and a way to fasten the end of the bracelet to something so that you can pull on it without it moving (I just use masking tape). If you have never made a bracelet before, you might want to look at my Chinese Staircase and Candy Stripe videos first -- those videos will introduce you to the basic knot and allow you to practice it before doing this slightly more complex pattern.
