Social Media Cancels Galileo (satire)

Galileo got into trouble with the establishment media and power structures of his day by daring to support the Copernican theory that the sun is the center of our solar system and the earth revolves around it. At the time (1600's) the establishment believed the Earth was at the center and everything revolved around it.
This is Fort Fairfield Journal editor/publisher, David Deschesne’s original political satire based upon how Galileo would have been treated if he had today's social and establishment news media in his day. All period names, places and dates are from the actual, historical record.
Satire aside, a really good book to read on the subject is "The Earth Moves" by Dan Hofstadter (2009, Norton & Company, Inc. ISBN 978-0-393-33820-1))
