The Kern High School District is the largest district in the county, so when KHSD parent, Shannon Boren heard that there’s been a 14 percent increase in D’s and F’s in fall 2020 compared to 2019, she found it upsetting. 23ABC spoke to parents, the district and a teacher about the state of grades and mental health.
