Hey guys! In this video, Dr. J shares the natural ways to boost your serotonin levels and other alternatives that will assist you. So serotonin is a chemical messenger that acts as a mood stabilizer. It is said to help produce healthy sleeping patterns as well as boost your mood.
Tryptophan, which goes into making serotonin, is commonly found in foods with protein. Although meat is a common key source of protein for many people, many vegetarian and vegan sources are also available.
With this in mind, some tryptophan sources are salmon, poultry, eggs, spinach, seeds, etc. Although food supplements can help boost your serotonin levels, other ways are exercise, light therapy (bright light exposure), and a high fiber diet.
