How To Fit Pistols Glock, Sig, CZ, HK, FN |New Owners Guide

Until the past decade or so fitting pistols was not as easy at it is now. We have so many more manufacturers making different grip sizes, grip modules, backstraps, side inserts and a ton of aftermarket options. If you are a new owner or old owner have you really spent the time experimenting with grip, positioning and alternate fit options. These can all be done in dry practice and is as easy as a few steps. First check to ensure you can get high on the grip. Check to ensure your middle finger knuckle is about centered on the trigger guard. Once you have got something that fits right there make sure your trigger finger and thumb are about equidistant when in the firing grip with finger along the frame rail. Moving on to the trigger make sure your finger comfortably fall onto a nice position so that you will not have to struggle to reach it or over reach it. Finally check the mag release and slide stop to make certain you can manipulate them with minimal movement. We have to remember not everyone is the same and it may not be perfect, but the idea is to get it as ergonomically as correct as possible for your hands. This is more important to focus on in individuals with smaller hands.
