Ice Lake Trail | Prettiest Lake in America?

This might just be the prettiest lake in America If you are ever in Colorado, head over the Silverton area and try the Ice Lake Trail. Located in the San Juan National Forest, the hike to Ice Lake Basin is an absolutely stunning trail! In the summer, it is full of beautiful wildflowers while the lake is an amazing blue-green color.
Don't forget to hike to Island Lake if you have the time. It's another beautiful lake if you plan to do a loop.
If you plan to take kids on the hike, make sure you are prepared for the approximately 8 miles and over 2,700 feet of elevation gain. It’s sure to be a challenging hike for most children!
