The Governor Of New Mexico Is Under Fire For Spending Taxpayer Money On Groceries, Liquor And Dry- Cleaning.
According To A Report Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham Also Hosted In-person Staff Meetings At The Same Time She Was Setting Limits On Public Gatherings, And Advising Against Mixing Households Because Of Covid 19.

Her Office’s Spending Came From A Taxpayer-supported Expense Fund And Was Detailed In That Report.

Records Show Lujan Grisham Spent About $14,000 Dollars Over A Six-month Period Last Year.

The Alcohol Included One Trip For 11 Bottles Of Various Types Of Hard Liquor, And Two Bottles Of Wine.

About $7,000 Went To Buying Food For The Governor’s Cabinet Members And Staffers During The In Person Meetings.

Many Legislatures In The State Are Outraged Saying That The Governor Use Of Taxpayer's Cash Is Completely Unacceptable, Especially During The Covid-19 Shutdowns When The People Of New Mexico Are Suffering Financially.

Lujan Grisham Told Local Media That She Didn't Make The Purchases Herself, That A Woman Who Works On Her Staff Purchase The Items, And Paid For The Dry Cleaning.

The Spending Came Despite A 2019 State Law That Set New Limits On Use Of The Governor’s Discretionary Funds.

Lujan Grisham Is In Her First Term As Governor And Has Also Been Under Fire From Businesses Over Her Strict Covid-19 Mandates.
