21 Day Dry Fire Challenge | The Penny Drill

Lately, we have been talking about how you can reprogram your brain to press the trigger smoothly and consistently straight to the rear.

In this video, we’ll talk about ‘The Penny Drill’ –- a very difficult drill -- but will help you make more accurate hits on your desired target. The goal is that you should be able to get that click in the trigger without the penny to fall off that front sight post.

Here’s a step-by-step instruction for the Penny Drill:
Step 1: Begin in a relaxed body position
Step 2: Achieve a proper two-handed pistol grip
Step 3: Achieve the proper shooting position
Step 4: Bring the firearm into the high compress ready
Step 5: Push the firearm into and parallel with your line of sight
Step 6: Balance a penny or dime on that front sight post
Step 7: Press that trigger slowly until you feel the wall
Step 8: Press the trigger smoothly without allowing the penny to drop
Step 9: Reach up and rack the slide
Step 10: Re-achieve a two-handed pistol grip
Step 11: Rebalance the penny on that front sight post
Step 12: Slowly allow your finger to move forward until you hear the click
Step 13: Repeat these process over and over again
