Darken Tungsten with used Motor Oil

This is how I darkened my Tungsten Ring. Heat it up as much as you possibly can then dunk it into used motor oil. Over and over again until the desired color is reached the hotter the better. If you want blue in it I suggest bluing it first. Since the blue didn't take too well to the oil already in the metal. Also I would suggest getting it hotter than I was able to with this torch. But this is what I had.
