The House Financial Services Committee (Chaired by Maxine Waters, yes, that Mad Maxine) held the first of several hearings involving GameStop, RobinHood, Citadel and Melvin Capital and accomplished nothing of importance.

Besides addressing the needless size and purpose of the Committee, the 52 Questioners spent their 5 allotted minutes virtue signaling and rarely making it to the point of their question. The questions that needed addressing never were, and the idea of Government regulation and taxation was at the heart of the inquiry.

Because more government is always the answer to a Democratic question.
