I Show How to Measure and Install Hammer Shims in a Ruger Double Action Revolver.
This includes the Ruger SP101, GP100, Redhawk, Super Redhawk and Alaskan.
Installing Shims on both sides of the Hammer will keep it Centered and Will Stop Most of the Scuffing and Scratches on the Hammer from Rubbing Against the Frame.
This will also Improve Smoothness of Hammer Operation and Pull, and will give More Reliable Ignition.
The same technique is used to measure for Trigger Shims.
