I have a neighbor in the area who recently claimed to have suffered from an assault. She claimed that she was able to defeat the bad guy simply by screaming. It turns out that she also said that she supports the "Defund the Police" movement and refuses to back down from that -- even though she personally suffered crime first hand. That's really unfortunate. What do you think explains this tendency to look badly on the police and complain that they took a long time to show up -- even when they are the victim of a crime?
