20210217 Alternate Energy - The Daily Summation

There are some hard lessons being learned in the energy industry at present. What makes that a little sadder, is how hard those folks in that industry have worked to keep the lights on in the U.S.

Many of them are downright tireless in their activities.

Sadly, there are folks in government who are pushing certain agendas that sound good--and some of them even sort of are--that have added to the level of challenge faced by the people in the power generation and distribution field.

I don't want you to come away with the idea the folks doing various power related things are perfect, but I generally think they're not the source of most of the problems.

To be fair, at present, much of the Southern U.S. is dealing with circumstances that are unprecedented (at least for a very long time). The combination of that fact, and the attempts to use renewable and other alternate energy forms, has very likely added to the situations currently playing out.

In my mind, part of the reason for that, has been political overreach. Most of the folks working in the power industry, know well what they're doing, and don't need government's hands in the mix.

This is the discussion in this edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.
