Twiggy's transformation, see description for details

Twiggy was diagnosed with Adrenal Gland Disease and we started with the regular Deslorelin (DES) implant treatment. It worked well, she was very perky and active. She maintained her fur but for some reason it remained a little rough instead of returning to a normal coat. It wasn't worrying since because it's condition wasn't deteriorating but that didn't last. She was also a little thin despite having a healthy appetite. Her diet was changed to raw meat which helped. She went in for regular weight checks and she remained steady.
When her coat began to thin out and grow rougher a member of the HFF (Holistic Ferret Forum) suggested a melatonin implant, my vet agreed that it was a good option and we tried it. Because it's a slow time release implant it could take up to two months to work but it did. The effects were very noticeable as you can see. She has gained weight and now has the thickest coat out of all four of my little stinkers.

The Four Little Stinkers now have their own book. Check it out on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Four-Little-Stinkers-Center-Storm-ebook/dp/B078Q4S5V9/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1516222394&sr=8-1&keywords=the+four+little+stinkers
