The 2021 winter storm has revealed a huge problem with the resiliency of the Texas energy grid. The record-low temperatures have many people with rolling blackouts and some with no power at all. Texas state Sen. Bob Hall has been warning about this problem since 2015 and has introduced legislation that would solve the grid's many vulnerabilities.
